Situated in a quiet location one meadow from the main camp site. The lake is well stocked with Common and Mirror Carp (up to twenty pounds), Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bream, Ghost and Koi Carp.
There is an opportunity for adults to fish in our second lake, which is situated in a quiet corner away from the main park.
Permits are available from the shop or at the lake side:

Top Tips
- Tackle up as light as possible for good bags of Roach and Rudd (1lb hook length to 20 to 22 hooks)
- Red maggot works well, feeding little and regular.
- Use sweetcorn to tempt the larger Roach and Rudd.
- Carp like luncheon meat, crusty bread as well as sweetcorn.
- Try floating crust for Carp during late afternoon when the lake is flat.
- Use hemp to hold the fish in your swim.
Large baits and heavy feeding tempt the bigger fish. Please ensure your fishing tackle is adequate to prevent damaging Carp. A landing net is essential. Barbless hooks are enforced.
Rules
Children 14 years and under to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- An NRA licence is required
- Hook length of line to be less than breaking strain of main line
- Barbless/Microbarb hooks only
- No ground bait, peanuts or tiger nuts (feeders are allowed)
- Handle fish with care
- Knotless keep nets. Minimum diameter 18 inches
- No Carp retained in keep nets
- Use rubbish bins provided
