5 miles west of Ripon, 12 miles north of Harrogate, and 8 miles east of Pateley Bridge makes us accessible from all directions and yet located in a beautiful, peaceful, rural setting.
Ripon, Britain’s smallest City, is famous for it’s Cathedral which contains a rare Saxon Crypt reputedly built for St Wilfrid in 627 AD. A place for retaining old customs the City Wakeman, known as The Hornblower ‘sets the Watch’ in the Market Square each evening at 9 o’clock. An event unbroken in over 1000 years.
A bustling market takes place each Thursday.
For racegoers Ripon Racecourse offers superb flat racing throughout the summer and is known as the Garden Racecourse.
The World Heritage site of Fountains Abbey and the impressive landscape of Brimham Rocks are just a short distance from the Park.
For the young and young at heart the LIGHTWATER VALLEY theme park is only 2 miles North West of the City near the charming village of West Tanfield with its interesting Church and Marmion Tower.
