There are two fishing lakes at Woodhouse Farm Holiday Park.

Both lakes offering a quiet location to enjoy fishing and an opportunity to spot the local wildlife. The main lake is situated at the top of the dog walk and the small lake is behind the sheep meadow in front of the woodland. View our Park Map.

The larger of the two lakes has been recently refurbished and restocked. Fish include Common, Crucian and Mirror Carp, Rudd, Chubb, Roach and Perch.

Top tips

  • Tackle up as light as possible
  • Red maggots work well, feed little and regular
  • Sweetcorn will tempt Roach, Rudd and Carp
  • Use hemp to hold the fish in your swim

Rules

  • An NRA licence is required – these are usually available from your local post office
  • An admission ticket is required – these are available from the Shop / Office
  • Barbless hooks only
  • Knotless keepnets only (minimum diameter 18")
  • No carp to be retained in keepnets
  • No bloodworm, peanuts or tiger nuts
  • Two rods maximum
  • Children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • Handle fish with care and use carp mats when needed
  • A landing net and disgorger are essential
