If you’re looking for somewhere to bring your caravan, motorhome or tent near Ripon, Woodhouse Farm is a simple, well-kept site in a quiet countryside setting just outside the city.

We’re based in Winksley, only a short drive from Ripon, and within easy reach of Harrogate, Masham and the Dales. A lot of our guests come back year after year because it’s easy, relaxed and does exactly what you need it to.

Touring Pitches

We have 35 touring pitches, all with electric hook-up, along with a number of hardstanding pitches which are particularly useful in wetter weather or for motorhomes.

Each pitch is generously sized, typically around 8.5m x 12m, giving you plenty of space for your caravan, awning and vehicle without feeling cramped. It’s something guests often comment on, especially compared to more tightly packed sites.

The park is easy to get around and set up on, and if you need a hand getting your caravan onto pitch, just let us know. Some guests prefer to be closer to facilities, while others like a bit more space around them — if you have a preference, it’s always worth mentioning when you book.

Please note: We do not allow gazebos on the park. Safety gaps must be maintained at all times. The lighting of fires is strictly prohibited. Parking for additional cars is available in the on-site car park at an additional cost.

Camping

We offer over 50 camping pitches, set slightly away from the main touring area to provide a quieter, more relaxed camping environment.

There’s a mix of grass pitches both with and without electric hook-up, giving you the flexibility to choose what suits your stay. Electric pitches are always in demand, particularly at weekends and during peak season, so it’s worth booking ahead if you need power.

The pitches are flat, easy to access and generously spaced, giving you plenty of room for your tent and outdoor setup without feeling crowded. It’s a simple, traditional camping experience, with the added benefit of being close to clean, modern facilities.

Family-Friendly, Without Feeling Busy

One of the things people often comment on is that the park feels spacious without being too spread out.

There are play forts dotted around and an indoor barn with activities, so there’s enough to keep children occupied, but it’s not a loud or overcrowded site.

We keep a 5 mph speed limit across the park and access is controlled by a barrier, which helps things feel safe and easy going for families.

Fishing Lakes

We have two fishing lakes on site, both within easy walking distance from the pitches.

For many guests, being able to head straight from their caravan or tent down to the water is a big part of the appeal. It’s common to see people out early in the morning or later in the evening, especially when the weather’s good.
